You must be willing to work on Friday, including double shifts on the weekends.

Qualifications:
A minimum of two years experience and a college degree in journalism or related field plus computer skills are required. Our producers must thrive on breaking news, juggling numerous tasks and must be able to create high-quality news content under strict daily deadlines. Candidates should also be able to look past the text of a story and find ways to make news coverage stand apart from the competition.
Skills:
Strong editorial skills and sharp news judgment are a must. Candidates must possess excellent writing, copy-editing and computer skills. Working in a fast-paced newsroom requires the ability to multi-task and manage time wisely. While this is not a web design position, understanding of some basic HTML and use of Adobe Photoshop is needed. Experience with social media such as Facebook and Twitter is a plus.

Director
QUALIFICATIONS: Applicant must have a minimum of two years production experience in news operation. Strong working knowledge of news procedures, studio camera, floor directing, VTR operations, audio operations and character generation. Knowledge of Philips DD35 or similar switchers is required. Knowledge of DEKO 3000 is strongly encouraged as well. Strong leadership ability, and ability to work well under pressure is a must.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Direct or technical direct weekend news broadcast. Supervision of production staff in audio, floor, videotape and master control. Mark and assign all videotape sources and assign crew as required to execute several news programs as laid out by the producer. Technical directing duties include record and playback of necessary DEKO graphics and animations, operate the Philips DD35 video switcher, and other production equipment as needed. Responsible for marking all scripts and directing all crew members in their assigned duties. Other duties include directing, assistant directing, technical directing, and other assigned duties both live and on videotape. Regular other duties may include morning fill-in shifts.
