The Alamogordo Daily News is seeking a government and education reporter. The ideal candidate will be able to cover Alamogordo City Commission meetings and Alamogordo Public School Board meetings. We are seeking a person with 1 to 2 years experience covering a government or education beat but will consider recent graduates with internship experience.
The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in either journalism, communications or English. Experience in photography a plus. Knowledge of Saxo Tech or Adobe InDesign a plus but not a requirement. Alamogordo, N.M. is located in the Tularosa Basin near the picturesque Sacramento Mountains and Lincoln National Forest.
