The SPJ Rio Grande chapter and City on the Edge podcast recently teamed up for on a live taping to kick off Sunshine Week.
Journalists Julie Ann Grimm (Santa Fe Reporter), Laura Paskus (NM Political Report), Joey Peters (NM Political Report), and Jeff Proctor (New Mexico In Depth) joined the City on the Edge hosts on stage at Duel Brewing in downtown Albuquerque.
They answered questions about access to government officials and public records, the value of leaks to journalists, and what’s at stake if the state Inspection of Public Records Act (IPRA) isn’t effectively enforced.
