The Hobbs News-Sun is looking for a general assignment reporter who will be assigned beats such as courts, government and education. We want someone who can cover it all and appreciates community journalism.

The paper wants to hire someone who can walk into a meeting and walk out with a story — and an idea for two or three more. All of the paper’s journalists are beat reporters who branch out to cover many other areas as well. Enterprise and feature stories are encouraged.
