New Mexico PBS/KNME is seeking a producer for New Mexico in Focus, its weekly public affairs show. Candidates should have strong journalism backgrounds, experience in creating original content for television and online, and also have experience working with community organizations, state leadership and the general public.
Preferred qualifications include three to five years of professional experience producing original public affairs programming for broadcast and online, as well as the ability to adapt program content for social media uses. Applicants should have in-depth knowledge of New Mexico’s social and political issues and technical knowledge of professional broadcast technology. Experience with non-linear editing equipment is desirable.
