KOB-TV in Albuquerque is hiring an executive producer to develop and maintain a strategic and editorial vision for Eyewitness News. The executive producer reports to the news director.
Applicants should have a minimum of five years of success in key leadership role(s) within a television newsroom and demonstrable knowledge of all phases of a television news operation, including, but not limited to: news reporting and writing, newscast formats, news producing, newsroom organization, and news gathering technology. They must be a dynamic strong leader with a clear vision and ability to communicate that vision to his/her staff. Must be creative and adept at managing in a fast-paced, highly charged and aggressive news environment.
The right candidate will be someone who thrives on innovation, gets bored easily, and is fearless to try new things. The right candidate will inspire that kind of novel thinking among the producers you manage, with the goal always being how to do things in a way that is focused on smart, visually-interesting stories that emotionally connect with our viewers.
