KOB-TV has a unique opportunity for a sales and marketing Account Executive.  Candidates must exhibit a strong sales and marketing skill set.

  • Minimum two years’ experience in sales, advertising, or media experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the local marketplace and ability to learn broadcasting terminology and methodology.
  • Ability to understand the features and benefits of advertising and competitive media.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office for Windows.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.  Experience developing presentations for the purpose of direct-business selling and ability to effectively present and communicate the presentation.  Ability to respond to questions appropriately and think on feet.
  • Ability to establish and maintain customer relationships; communicate effectively with a wide range of personalities in a professional and courteous manner.
  • High level of initiative and ability to work independently required.
  • Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, clean driving record. Driving record will be checked.
  • Demonstrates effective negotiation and closing techniques.
  • Strong analysis and judgment skills.
  • This is a full-time commission position.

Job Posting: Integrated Digital Specialist (Sales/Marketing)

KRQE Media Group in Albuquerque is searching
for a full-time Integrated Digital Specialist to join our sales and marketing team.


JOB SUMMARY: Sells comprehensive media solutions to one or more local/regional/national accounts in a geographic territory to achieve sales targets and maximize revenues.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
* Identify, develop, and expand existing and new client relationships & key accounts.
* Maintain close communications at various stages in the sales
cycle including account updates, weekly projections & forecasting of future advertising.
* Conduct research on target markets and trends, and adjusts
sales strategy accordingly.
* Ensure clear understanding and interpretation
of client needs, and recommend appropriate solutions, in order to meet requirements.
* Develop short and long range plans for revenue growth.
* Negotiate advertising rates, create oral & written presentations generate packages.
* Monitor accounts receivables.
* Research, analyze and monitor
competitive media for new leads.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
* Knowledge of online/digital and interactive advertising tools in order to advise advertisers and peer advertising sales representatives on the effective
use of online/digital and interactive advertisements.
* Strong oral, problem solving, communications, writing, negotiation and presentation skills.
* Must be well organized, display a professional demeanor, exude high energy and show attention to detail.
* Must be a confident, flexible, multi-tasker, and be able to work independently.
* Knowledge of Nielsen ratings is helpful.

Education/Experience: Bachelor`s degree preferred with an emphasis in Business/Marketing or Communications. Sales related experience preferred.

Training/Equipment: Strong MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements: Extensive travel and long work hours will be required. A valid driver`s license, state mandated automobile insurance and an acceptable driving record are also required.

KOB Seeks General Sales Manager



Minimum of 5 successful year’s television sales management experience required. Demonstrable strong inventory management, pricing and NTR skills required.  Must have a good driving record and a valid driver’s license, both will be checked.


  • Supervise and be responsible for all national, local and regional sales efforts for KOB TV; oversee traffic and research departments.
  • Monitor and control sales efforts to maximize the inventory and revenue opportunities for both broadcast and digital. Should be familiar with yield systems.
  • Establish prices and develop sound strategies for all sales opportunities.
  • Prepare proper merchandise, sales and budget plans to achieve goals.
  • Assist the accounting department in holding the sales department accountable for required accounting paperwork.
  • Develop new and increased revenue streams using digital, non-spot and long-form opportunities.
  • Effectively lead, develop, train, cross-train and motivate the sales and support staff.  Resolve conflicts as needed.
  • Manage major sales presentations and client relationships to aid in the business close and/or visibility in the market.
  • Provide input to the General Manager regarding programming decisions related to sales performance.
  • This position reports regularly and directly to the General Manager.
