JOB: Reporter/Producer at KOB

Qualifications: 

Applicant should have two years’ experience as a reporter/producer for a network affiliated television station.  We’re looking for a reporter with excellent news writing skills, solid storytelling ability through the effective use of video and graphics, strong news judgment, good people skills and the ability to thrive as a member of a team. Our producers must thrive on breaking news, juggle numerous tasks and must be able to create high-quality newscasts under strict daily deadlines. Having the drive and ambition to win in a competitive environment are essential. The right reporter/producer will enterprise from Day One. They will pitch and turn original stories true to the KOB brand.  Immediately, the requirement is 50% enterprise reporting. Applicant will handle a variety of news reporting assignments. We emphasize Breaking News and stories that hold people accountable.

Condolences To KRQE

Board members of the Rio Grande Chapter of SPJ were saddened to hear about the death of Bob Martin of KRQE News 13. Our deepest condolences go out to Bob’s colleagues, friends and family.
